Santa Rosa/Chop’s Teens: Calling All Artists!
ArtFest 2012 : Featuring Work from Chop’s Teen Club
Finley Community Center April 3 - 26, 2012
Reception: April 5, 5-7pm
Teen-artists, parents, and friends welcome!
This remarkable multi-media show will display artwork from local Santa Rosa teens. The collection includes clay, pottery, wood assemblage, metal work and paintings. The art pieces demonstrate the raw skill and incredible talent from the youth perspective. The exhibition also includes fine art from the Chop’s Art Studio staff. These latest creations have been displayed in our neighboring Railroad Square storefronts. For this presentation the teens have compiled their most revered and inspired pieces to share with the general public.

Art Studio Mission
We encourage teens to use their imagination and to evolve their skills and abilities of creative tinkering through programs, workshops and open studio time. We believe that directly experiencing the creative process allows teens to gain confidence, to embrace happiness and to actively participate in the global art community.
Our Goals
The goals of Chop’s Art Studio are to:
- Increase teen participation in relevant and engaging art programs, community events, and community service projects.
- Generate enthusiasm and interest in imagination and creativity with skilled art teachers, partnerships with local professional artists, and participation in community art-based events.
- Motivate teen-artists to join in the global community.
- Encourage teens to develop their interests, likes, hobbies and passions.
- Provide opportunities that will assist teens in furthering their skills and knowledge-base.
